  • Why We Love Bamboo

A young man and his mentor slowly walked down a forested hill. The mentor resumed their conversation, “Thank you for sharing what you really feel. Even though these days have been rough, we'll get through this together.” “Thank you,” the man replied, "You have always been here for me. Taking this walk together was a good idea."

Suddenly, the man lost his footing and begun sliding down the slope. Reaching out, he grabbed a small bamboo plant to stop his fall. The bamboo bent nearly all the way over as the man held on tight to pull himself up again. After rising, the man released his grip - the bamboo quickly sprang back to its upright position facing the sun.

“Bend, without breaking - such is the way with bamboo,” the mentor shared, "We endure every pull to find a way to bounce back. This is called resilience.”
